DIY White Bodycon Midi Dress

Hello There Dolls!

Don’t forget to follow and share the blog to all your sew fancy friends! It’s my birthday week, and one of my best friends came to town to visit the baby and I. My clubbing days are over, so we decided to do an endless mimosa brunch with Sex And The City as the theme! I love the fashion in the show, and can always use an excuse to get dressed up and channel my inner Carrie, Charlotte, or Samantha.

This dress is my play on the uber popular Little White Dress. They are all over from street fashion up to the runways, picking off Little Black Dresses one by one.

I knew I had to make my own, and what better way to do it than a version that is part of my uniform! Now, I’m not talking a typical corporate uniform that some may HAVE to wear everyday.. Im talking about the wardrobe staple, or “look” that we go to over and over again. For me, that uniform is a bodycon dress. For whatever reason I am completely in love with them. I own all kinds of prints, patterns, solids, and a variety of lengths.

This pattern is self drafted from a RTW dress I already own, and the best part is that it’s only 3 pieces. The quickest sew, I can make one of these in about an hour. This is my go to dress pattern if I need something to wear last minute and can’t be bothered with wearing something in my closet. (Don’t judge, we have ALL been there!) You can easily shorten the length, add long or short sleeves, this dress is a great starting point for all kinds of bodycon greatness.

Alright dolls, I’m off to start my day! Talk to you soon.
