Today I am sharing a DIY Jumpsuit that I totally dropped the ball on as far as blogging goes. I made this jumpsuit in August of 2016! Now, I wore the jumpsuit, but I never got around to photographing it.. Then I got pregnant and the waistline wasn’t so “bump friendly.” So, in the closet it went!
I finally pulled out my non-maternity clothes, and when I saw this I thought, “I need to blog this right away!… And then wear it of course.”
Anyway, the pattern is the ever-familiar vogue pattern V9075. I have made this pattern more times than I can count! Here as a different jumpsuit, and it was a dress here and here. I am in love with this pattern y’all.
On one of my work trips to New York I picked up this gorgeous cotton embroidered fabric from Mood. I decided that I wanted to add some detail to this jumpsuit, and that embroidered fabric did the job. Instead of cutting one piece for the front bodice section, I cut the pattern piece into 3 pieces, and created a panel of my fashion fabric. This created a bit of design interest as the embroidered fabric came with each line going in the same direction. I really like the way it turned out.
I definitely think I’m retiring this pattern. Four times is enough lol, especially since I still wear each version! Plus, I have my eye on lots of new jumpsuits from the Fall patterns that have just released.
